MONTIGO Part 3: Turi Beach (Water Sports)

Back for my final post about my trip to Montigo!!!!!

Rise and shine at about 8+ to prepare and head out for our complimentary buffet breakfast by the buggy! Breakfast was just like any other normal hotel breakfast which included pastry/ bread, ommelette (whereby you can select your own ingredients), beef noodle soup, prata, cereal, yoghurt, fruits, porridge, sweet corn, potato……. and maybe some other dishes but I can't really remember. But typical la! The food wasn't that bad and wasn't that fantastic. Just average and edible. Again, there's not pictures of the breakfast dining area or the food but do check them out from the vlog.

Took the buggy back to our villa… lazed around awhile on the bed and took many many many pictures before we all finally got our asses together and pack up.

The official check out was 12PM but the staff didn't come with the buggy until about 12.40PM. All of us obviously took the opportunity to take some selfies and group shots, since we didn't take many group shots the previous day. The view was really awesome. Even though i'm living on the ground floor and have a pool right in front of my house, but where's the view of the sea yo?

Hahaha okay, sorry for the spam!!!!!!!!! After checking out, we had 4 hours to spare as the ferry only departs at 6.10PM. We needed to be back at the resort at 5.10PM to take the bus back to the ferry though. Decided to go to the nearby beach, Turi beach, to do some water sports! The helpful staffs at Montigo Resorts made the necessary arrangements for us like booking a cab there. Again, it isn't a real cab but more like a personal driver thingy. The drive from Montigo Resorts was approximately a 10 mins drive away. I am not very sure about the cab rate though, I just let my cousins take my money blindly hahahah #trust There is a resort called Nongsa Resort just a stone throw away from the beach. The good thing is that you have access to the beach especially water sports, but there's no private pool for each villa. Perhaps, the next time round I should try staying at Nongsa Resort just for water sports. Definitely more developed than Montigo Resorts.

Before we started on the water sport activities, all of us took a walk down the beach and went to this "bridge" and had some mini photoshoot. Heh step models nia. But trust me, the view of the beach was B R E A T H T A K I N G. Batam already so nice, what about Maldives!!!!!! I really wanna visit Maldives man.

Here's the highlight of the day -water sports. All of us participated in a 30 min banana boat activity and boy was it fun!!!!!!! It was super tiring to balance and also to climb back up onto the boat each time it capsizes. Our "driver" purposely did turns which were super sharp and fast, and made us lose our balance. We eventually capsize 4 times…. and the water was super duper salty omg yuck. Felt kind good to be capsized in the middle of the deep sea but no no no to the waves approaching. I guess it won't be fun without capsizing right. Parasailing was my top priority but unfortunately, the activity was temporarily banned because of the strong wave and wind :( Sigh I was really looking forward to it and thats under my bucket list. I thought I could at least strike something out. The rest were planning to jet ski too but eventually gave up on the idea after the tiring banana boat activity hahahah! Oh, the cost of a 30 min banana boat ride is about SGD $17 to $20?? It isn't exactly cheap or expensive, worth the money. But I think 30 mins was a tad too long. 20 mins would be just nice… the price is a few dollars cheaper.

Sadly, after a fun time at the beach, we had to head back to our own resort for a shower as Nongsa Resort only provided towels for the people who resides there. Initially, our plan was to head back to Montigo Resort and take a dip at their public pool and have a good meal. The moment we ordered our food from the bar by the public pool, we realised we had to check the time… who knew we were already running out of time hahaha. We barely take a dip into the pool and had to rush to bathe. Each of us ordered a set of fish and chips and a smoothie. Changed our mains to a take away instead because we were reaaaally running out of time and if we missed the ferry, THATS IT, we have to wait for the next day before we could head back to Singapore.

Booohooo our mini weekend getaway came to an end so fast. Back to reality so soon :'( It was overall a good time spent with my cousins and I truly glad the bond we have is strong. Cheers to more cousins trip in the near future. We need to travel to further places hehhee $$$ please rain on me. Okay, I spent a total of about SGD $300+… SGD $151 for the villa and ferry tickets, SGD $26 for the ferry taxes and I changed $150 to spend and left only about SGD $20+! Expensive but after all is the company that matters right. AWWWWW! However in my opinion, don't visit Montigo Resorts just yet. Some parts are still under construction. They're working on the beach and water sports activities will be included so you don't have to go out of the resort! I ail definitely visit this place again when everything is ready ;-) I hope my entries have given you a rough idea of Montigo Resorts even though I know I typed too much nonsense hahahaha!

To make things easier, here are the previous entires on Montigo:

Before I end this post, here's the vlog of our 2D1N Montigo Trip! Enjoy and thank you for reading XOXO!
