Explored the streets of Hongkik since we were still quite worried out from our flights and days in Jeju!
Day 6: Ewha Womens University > YG Entertainment
Short ribs soup for lunch and it was sooooo good! We went back to this place a few times (just at the main road of Hongkik Uni) for Kimchi Chigae and KBBQ!! Didn't take note of the address though oops.
V was down with fever and flu so she headed back to the lodging to rest. I wanted to explore Hongkik Uni again initially but I made the decision to go to YG's building. Yay stroke something of the list of things I wanna do in Korea.
YG Entertainment
3, Huiujeong-ro 1-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul
Take the green line to Hapjeong Station and look for exit 8. (I walked from Hongkik Uni station.. It was a little far but because the weather was so cooling, I had a nice walk). Pass 2 gas stations, cross a mini road and you'll be able to spot the building already. It will be on the right!
I hanged around for a few hours (I wasn't the only one there were other fan girls) with hopes to see Bigbang or Kwon Twins or Winner or any YG artists but I only managed to see CEO Yang Hyun Suk and Epik High's DJ Tukutz hahahaha. Waiting around was bearable because you know that you are not alone and there's a convenience store (GS25) with chairs, so you can just grab a drink. The artists and dancers frequents the convenience store very often too!
Didn't know who's car was that at first but I just had the instinct to take a selfie. There are guards standing around also, so I guessed it was someone important la. That guy with the white beanie is DJ Tukutz!! After he left (in another black car), I saw Yang Hyun Suk walking towards that white car. It was definitely him because of his iconic hat and all the staffs bowed as the car left!!!! Lucky me.
Day 7: Myeongdong
Myeongdong was a cosmetics heaven man!!!!! The salesgirls really know how to psycho you to buy the products. Look at how much we bought and were were only 1/3 through our trip. Imagine the amount of things we bought after the entire trip. Anyway, Myeongdong was more happening that Hongdae in a sense that there were more shopping. Hongdae was more of clubs and hipster shopping kind. There are a few shopping centres like Young Plaza and Lotte Departmental Store in Myeongdong which will be more suitable for people who like to shop. There's all the big brands like Zara, H&M, Forever21 and many others.. and of course many repetitive shops of the same cosmetic brands! You might wanna stay in Myeongdong only because youdon't have to luge my shopping all the way back to Hongdae. BUT Myeondong was seriously full of tourists. Not much korean vibes la.
Had this for supper almost every night. If not sushi, ramen hahaha. I LOVEEEE THIS PEACH DRINK SO MUCH I MISS YOU :(
Love the Korean air. It made my skin glow every single day.
Day 8: YG Entertainment
V was feeling sick again so she decided to stay home to rest. We woke up late anyway (errr almost everyday) so I decided to go to YG's building again cos I had hopes I would see Bigbang or Kwon twins. Argh the previous day when I was at Myeongdong, Winner was there and many fans got to see them boohoo. So yeah anyway I waited for a few hours. Maybe 3-4 hours? Hahah damn boliao I know. It was raining and I was freezing but thank god for the hot drinks sold at the convenience store. Waiting it the cold wa worth it also because I got to see....... jengjengjeng THE DANCERS!!!!!!!
Byoung Gon was the first... Almost gave up at 5.30pm but decided to stay till about 6.15pm. Around 6.10............. DONY APPEARED FROM THE RIGHT SIDE WHICH WAS A RARE ROUTE. It happened so fast I was so nervous. I was rehearsing how to ask him for a picture but I couldn't do it.
Dony was on the phone also so..... kuakua. But oh god his voice I wish I can replay in every single day.
Minjung, Deukie's girlfriend arrived!
A few minutes later, Deukie arrived. It was a difference of less than 5 minutes. Why so sneaky ah. Everyone knows they are a couple why must act as though they came from different ways. Heheh we all know hor....
And lastly it was Heeyun!! I waved to her and she waved back. Omggggggg she is sososososoos pretty. Okay not as though I never see the dancers before la, and you must be thinking why I so crazy over them. Hey, I am not the only one. YG dancers damn famous one hor. The Kwon Twins have fan club de. Aiya all of them so hot and sexy who doesn't like. Plus they are always on tours with the YG artists, so they are famous also! See you soon Kwonies!!!!!!!!
Day 9: City Hall > Hongkik University
Headed to city hall to get our everland tickets from an agency. Here's where you can get it! Cosmojin is an agency which sells attraction tickets at a cheaper rate. They provide transport too (with a small fee), at least I know they do for Everland. Above is the Seoul Metropolitan Library. Did not get a chance to go in to see though!
THIS. Wah I miss you too. Besides the peach drink and my banana milk I kept drinking this too. It was sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. Wish Singapore sells this!!!!! I wanted to dabao back but I was afraid it would explode in my luggage LOL
Day 10:Nandaemun Market > Dongdaemun Design Plaza
No pictures taken at Nandaemun Market because it didn't appeal to us, we left almost immediately. It was more of a market with traditional stuff. Walked around Shinsegae Departmental Store which was like Ion for awhile before we left and went to Dongdaemun! Shopped at Lotte Young Plaza and then crossed over to Dongdaemun Design Plaza. Its a place where most korean exhibitions and fashion shows are held. I know Chanel had a fashion show there after I came back and GD attended... Sian no fate again? Fulfilled our dream of eating in a tent just like how Korean dramas do it, the feeling was nice until the woman collected our money. She said "三萬" and I mistook it for "三千". Secretly damn happy cos that would only cost about $3.70 but mL 30k instead of 3k. It was close to $40 for 2 dishes are you kidding me. The woman obviously ripped us off and thought we were from china of something. We were sosososososos damn bloody cheated and angry and upset. From that day onwards we would never eat at a tent or rather, do not eat when the menu doesn't have any pricing. Zzzzzz? It costed more than other meals we had. KBQQ and our yoogane was cheaper!! Bloody hell.
Okay this post is so wordy and not interesting at all. The posts will be more of the touristy places because we finally realised that we had about a week left so we got our shit together and decided not to wake up late or nua everyday.
